NHS Talking Therapies Petition

One size does NOT fit all!

Talking Therapies is the new name for counselling & psychotherapy provided by the NHS (formally known as IAPT, Improving Access to Psychological Therapies). A previous wide range of relational therapy options has been reduced to a predominant use of short-term CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy).

It is time for local communities to be given the range of mental health support we need.  Let's invest in people, not manipulated data.

Stop GP practices shutting their doors

We need our political leaders to come up with a serious plan to put a stop to hundreds of GP practices closing across the country. Hundreds are at risk of shutting their doors. Our leaders need to step up and show they’ll put an end to this.

due to funding cuts, there are hundreds of practices across the country that risk closure. In 2023 alone, nearly 60 GP practices closed their doors.  In Lancashire over a hundred practices have seen reduced income and rising costs, while 10 are at risk of closure.  We need leaders who care about the health system to step up and make sure the NHS doesn't fall apart. Our politicians should listen to doctors and patients, and stop trying to divide us by trying to shift the blame for the problems in the NHS.

This is a serious problem, and we need a solution NOW!  Help us save the NHS and sign this petition

Save NHS dentistry and make it fit for the 21st century

This is a campaign to save NHS dentistry across all the UK.  By signing this petition you can add your support to make this happen.  Campaigning by local communities, like the people of St Pauls, Bristol, can make these things happen.

In St Pauls, Bristol hundreds of people queued outside a new dental practice in the hope of registering as NHS patients.  The practice's opening comes following a successful public campaign, after the previous Bupa Dental Care site closed.

This campaign means a lot to us and the more support we can get behind it, the better chance we have of repeating this success throughout the UK.
